I love how kind & passionate the community is, and hopefully I help make it the best place it can possibly be. Outside of Hobart, I study art history, economics, and design; & I'm involved with ResilientNU & the Northwestern Art Review! Hobart makes Northwestern feel like home and I'm so excited to be able to express my passion for the community by serving on exec! The president presides over the Executive Board and is WRC’s official student representative. The president delegates tasks to the appropriate board members and ensures that the chairs are aware of their respective responsibilities. The president must attend meetings of the Residential College Board and organize dorm meetings and elections. |

As VP, I'm in charge of points, housing, and Wildcat Welcome events! I'm so excited to welcome in the class of 2027 this summer! And I'm excited to help form a strong community at Hobart! dream job as a kid? "I’ve always wanted to be a doctor. Since I could remember, it was what I wanted to be." fun fact about me: "I've been in six musicals!" The vice president assists the President and presides over Executive Board meetings when the President is unable to attend. The VP is in charge of Housing, and keeps track of all the members wishing to reside in WRC. The VP allocates housing assignments as described in Article VI Section A and conveys this information to the Housing Office in a timely manner. Throughout the year, it is the Vice President’s duty to keep track of the points each member of WRC has earned and organize the information in a spreadsheet/other easy-to-distribute document. |
SECRETARY: Areebah Omer

year: second-year hometown: Westchester, Il majors: Economics, Psychology minors: Data Science, Business Institutions Hi, I'm Areebah and I'm the Hobart Secretary! I'm a first-year student majoring in Economics and Psychology. I've loved living in Hobart as a freshman because of the wonderful community here and cozy vibes, and I'm so excited to be working with everyone else on Exec! The secretary takes attendance and comprehensive minutes at all meetings and sends them to Executive Board members within 24 hours. If the secretary is unable to attend a meeting, it is their responsibility to find an alternative person to take the minutes.The secretary is responsible for publishing the weekly Toilet Paper consistently on the same day each week. The secretary notes upcoming events, both for WRC and RCB, and keeps residents informed of what is happening each week. The secretary is also responsible for creating the annual WRC scrapbook at the end of winter quarter. |
TREASURER: Finn Hurley

year: second-year hometown: Huber Heights, OH major: English, Learning and Organizational Change I'm Finn! I'm your Treasurer, which means that I take care of Hobart House's finances. I am a first-year student intending to major in English and Learning and Organizational Change. I'm a non-resident this year, but I will live in Hobart next year. Take care! The treasurer is responsible for the management, disbursement, and bookkeeping of the College’s social dues and maintenance fund. The treasurer maintains the budget with the Student Organizations Finance Office (SOFO) and Undergraduate Residential Life. The treasurer must also monitor the spending habits of the Executive Board. The treasurer is required to propose a budget for all chairs in the beginning of the quarter and discuss all discrepancies, when they arise, with the Executive Board. |

year: fourth-year hometown: Elmhurst, IL major: Political Science and French Hello, I'm Molly Braun (she/her) and I'm Hobart's Fireside Chair this year. I'm a third year studying Political Science and French. I'm excited to work with Exec to create fun events. In my free time, I enjoy art, crocheting, and yoga. And I'm excited to plan and host events to deepen our community at Hobart including old traditions and new favorites. The fireside chair is responsible for coordinating educational activities for the College. The fireside chair must research possible speakers and interesting subjects, incorporating Faculty Associates when possible. Co-sponsoring events with other organizations is greatly encouraged, so the fireside chair must work with organizations outside of WRC. |

Publicity CHAIR: Alessandra esquivel

year: third-year hometown: Houston, Texas major: Journalism certificates: IMC and Segal Design "I'm so excited to be a part of a wonderful exec board and tell y'all about fun events in Hobart and outside of Hobart!" The publicity chair is in charge of publicizing all events sponsored by WRC and updating the Hobart calendar/dry erase board. The publicity chair must work with the organizers of the event in order to publicize effectively all activities inside and outside of WRC. The organizer will give them the information for their event, and the chair will publicize it appropriately. The other chairs depend on the publicity chair to publicize their events and increase House participation. The publicity chair is a leading presence in Hobart’s social media, calendar, and website maintenance. |
PHILANTHROPY CHAIR: sarah sajjad

Sarah is looking most forward to working with the rest of Exec and planning philanthropy events! favorite Hobart or RC event? "Fellows' Lunches" dream job as a kid? "A teacher" a fun fact? "My favorite animal is a panda!" The philanthropy chair coordinates all philanthropic activities. The philanthropy chair maintains and develops ways for residents to volunteer within WRC, Northwestern, or the Evanston and Chicago communities. The philanthropy chair must work closely with other philanthropic organizations to implement projects that are of interest to residents. There must be a minimum of 2 events per quarter. |
BEAUTIFICATION CHAIR: charlie sutcuoglu

year: fourth-year hometown: Sarasota, Fl major: Biology minor: Gender and Sexuality Studies and Global Health "Hi, I’m Charlie, your Hobart Beautification Chair! It’s my responsibility to keep Hobart looking its best, from the decor to its organization. I can’t wait to meet the class of 2027 and I am so happy to have been a part of Hobart since my freshman year in 2020." This Florida native has been a part of Hobart since they got to Northwestern in the Fall of 2020. Their love for arts and crafts and HGTV has turned into a hobby and now formal exec position to keep Hobart as pretty as can be (within the limits of their busy schedule as a bio-major, of course). The beautification chair is in charge of decorating Hobart for the holidays, as well as keeping Hobart beautiful in general (through the addition of fake flowers, pictures, etc.). The beautification chair is also responsible for making equipment purchases for WRC (i.e. cooking utensils, cleaning supplies, etc.). The beautification chair must monitor the upkeep of all WRC equipment and facilities and get repair work when needed by informing the RA of all maintenance issues. The beautification chair oversees the use of the dorm computers and must make sure that residents use them properly. |

I'm originally from Houston, Texas, and came to Northwestern because I really, really wanted to escape the heat ("^_^) I joined Hobart because I wanted to be in an environment where I felt safe and included, which is exactly what I've found. The outreach chair coordinates all activities with faculty associates. Their primary task is to oversee an important function of the Residential College system: to promote relationships between faculty and members of the College. The outreach chair must recruit faculty associates and facilitate interaction between residents and faculty associates. The Chair is responsible for inviting faculty associates to WRC activities and publicizing their activities throughout the College and Northwestern community. |

I'm so excited to be a part of this wonderful, tight-knit community and hope to continue the fun as part of exec! The Women’s Center Liaison is responsible for maintaining a good relationship with the Women’s Center. The Women’s Center serves the University community by designing programs that advocate for women’s concerns. The Liaison must inform residents of the programs available at the center and inform them of activities hosted by the College. The Liaison is responsible for researching volunteer opportunities at both the center and club, and informing the philanthropy chair when good opportunities arise. |
ECO Representative: Inaya hussain

year: second-year hometown: Columbus, OH major: MMSS and History major minor: Critical Theory I’m Inaya, and I’m Hobart’s eco rep! I decided to join exec because I had a great time going to all the Hobart events with my friends and wanted a way to have input on them. I’m excited to figure out ways to make Hobart so sustainable, especially with diverting waste in our kitchen. The eco representative is responsible for making Hobart House as “green” as possible. Their primary event is Green Cup, held during winter quarter, where the rep will lead Hobart in a competition to reduce the most electricity and water use. Throughout the year, the eco rep will raise awareness about being green and hold two environmentally-friendly events to promote environmental consciousness. The eco rep will also speak to residents about ways they can become more environmentally friendly and reduce their impact on the environment. |
